Poland, William James Minehart, 74. Memorial Services will by officiated by Rev. David Joachim at 2 P.M. Saturday September 12 At Westminster Presbyterian Church, Boardman, for William James Minehart, 74 of Poland who passed away peacefully Thursday morning with his family by his side. William was born February 10, 1941 in Youngstown, a son of the late John A. and Mary E. Nackett Minehart. He was a 1959 graduate of Boardman High School and attended the University of Cincinnati where he was a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity, then finishing at Youngstown State with a bachelor of science degree in business administration and as a social member of Tau Kappa Epsilon. Bill was the secretary treasurer for William Herbert & Son Storage and Moving Co., (a family owned business) for the last 15 years he worked at Lowe's in the tool and window departments. He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and coach for the Poland Baseball Association for 20 years. Bill enjoyed watching NASCAR and football. He loved going to Myrtle Beach with his family and to Las Vegas with his wife and friends. Bill took great pride in his yard and garden. His family was very special to him. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife the former Karen L. Miller, whom he married November 11, 1967, three sons Jeffrey S. (Jenn) Minehart, Mark D. (Kelly) Minehart and David B. (Jenn) Minehart all of Poland, a brother John R. (Dale) Minehart of Middletown, Ohio, seven grandchildren Jack, Megan, Lauren, Matthew, Noah, Bryan and Olivia, many nieces and nephews, and his loving cat Tabitha. Calling hours are from 12 to 2 Saturday Sept. 12th at the church with the service to follow at 2:00. Bill's family wishes to thank the staff at the Hope Center, Dr. Awaida and the staff at Hospice of the Valley for their love and support.
