C. Margaret Wood

C. Margaret Wood,100, passed away on Thursday February 18, 2021 at the Inn at Christine Valley in Youngstown.

She was born May 28, 1920 the daughter of the late Frank A. and Catherine Kelly Wood and was a lifelong area resident.

Margaret graduated in 1937 from Ursuline High School, and then went on to graduate from Kent State University Salem campus.

She was a longtime member at St. Michael’s Church in Canfield and was a member of the Alter Guild.

Margaret was also the past President of the Youngstown Mahoning Chapter Professional Secretaries Association.  

She leaves to cherish her memory, her cousin Mary Catherine Nanowsky of Youngstown and her goddaughter Maurita O’Conner of Carol Stream Illinois.

A Mass of Christine Burial will be held Wednesday May 19, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Michael Church, celebrated by Rev. Terry Hazel.

Private interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery.

Due to our current health crisis COVID-19 everyone in attendance is asked to please wear a face mask and to maintain all social distancing guidelines mandated by the state (6-foot apart and not to linger) thank you.
