Debra A. Skica, 67, passed away peacefully Sunday evening Sept 15, 2024, with her loving family by her side.
She was born June 19, 1957, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Norris and Genevieve Metzinger Wingo. After graduating from Woodrow Wilson in 1975, she went to work at Hill’s, Ames and Rite Aid. Being a person of strong catholic faith, Debra was a proud member of St. Christine Church, the choir and the Cursillo Movement. Debra was a kind and loving person and would help people without being asked. She enjoyed reading and spending time with her grandchildren and dogs.
Debra leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Daniel P.E. Skica, whom she married September 20, 1980, children Dan Skica, Nicholas (Tina) Skica and Erica Skica, brothers Robert (Patricia) Wingo, Jeff (Laurie) Bartholomew and Joseph Bartholomew, sister-in-law Madeleine Kerr, and grandchildren Logan, Giana and Elsa Skica.
She is preceded in death by brother Paul Kerr and sisters Judy Noble, Patricia Laue and Karen Wingo. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday Sept 19, 2024, at the Fox Funeral Home 4700 Market St. Boardman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 11AM. Friday Sept 20, 2024, at St. Christine Church, 3165 S. Schenley Ave. Youngstown, celebrated by Fr. Steve Zeigler.
Debra will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery with her family.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
