Dennis Hawn Obituary

 

Dennis Phillip Hawn, 80, of Canfield, passed away Sunday, August 25, 2024, at Hospice House. 

He was born on April 29, 1944, in Salem, OH, a son of Myron and Helen Krohmer Hawn.  A 1964 graduate of Canfield High School, Dennis was a sheet metal journeyman for 38 years.  He worked as a sheet metal worker for Martin Nelson Company in Campbell, York Mahoning, and retired from Firestone Sheet Metal in Salem.  He was a member of Sheet Metal Local # 33. 

Dennis leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former Karen J. Garvin; his daughters, Kerry (Jeff) Limbian of Youngstown and Teresa (Ron) Albright of Canfield; his son Jim Hawn of Canfield; three grandsons Ronnie Albright, Jared Albright, and Jack Limbian; and sister Elaine Farrow.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Family and friends may call on from 10 to 10:50 a.m. Saturday August 31, 2024, at St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Avenue, Youngstown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. Celebrated by Rev. Thomas Kraszewski.

The Hawn family has asked for material tributes to be given in Dennis’ name to Hospice House, 9803 Sharrott Rd., Poland, Ohio 44514, or St. Patrick Church, 1420 Oak Hill Avenue, Youngstown, OH 44507.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
