Donald McDonough Obituary

Donald Raymond McDonough SR. passed away peacefully on Sunday November 2, 2025, at the Hospice House.

He was born on October 9, 1943, in Youngstown, son of the late Thomas and Evelyn Ferdeski McDonough, and was lifelong area resident.

Donald graduated from Wilson High School in 1961, soon after he started working for Republic LTV Steel, he was a member of union 1331 and retired after twenty-six years.

He married the love of his life, Joyce Ann Waggaman on December 13, 1965, in Cumberland MD.,   sadly she passed away in February of 2021.

Donald was a member of St. Luke’s church for many years, he enjoyed woodworking and crafts, he was a Cleveland Indians fan, and liked bowling and billiards, he also worked for over fifteen years at Giant Eagle.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons Donald R.(Linda) McDonough, Jr. of Struthers and Michael T. ( Monica) McDonough of Columbiana.

Donald also leaves his grandchildren Jennifer McDonough, Dawn (Jon) Rhoads, Michael McDonough and Marisa McDonough, and great-grandchildren Ethan and Emma and Everett Rhoads and Grace McDonough.

Family and friends may gather Thursday Morning November 6, at 10:00 a.m. for a funeral service at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery where Donald will be laid to rest next to his wife.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
