Elaine Christina Bauer was called home on July 20, 2025. Elaine was born one of ten children on August 10, 1935, to Regina (Beichner) and Ambrose Bauer in Lucinda Pennsylvania.
After attending North Clarion High School, Elaine helped her parents with their dairy farm until entering the Benedictine Convent where she served our Lord as Sister Justine.
She moved to Florida where she continued to do God’s work as a CNA at Lutheran Haven Nursing Home where she retired.
Elaine relocated to Poland Ohio to be with her twin sister Germaine Dobrich and Niece Diane Graham in 2023. Elaine loved to build puzzles, play bingo, and card games. She loved being surrounded by family, especially the children.
Even in retirement Elaine continued to do God’s work by acts of charity.
She was very generous to many foundations around the world.
Elaine is survived by her twin sister, Germaine Dobrich of Poland. Also, her brother and sister-in-law Regis and Peg Bauer, sister Nancy Zdeb, sister-in-Laws Agnes Bauer and Lucille Bauer, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by sister and brother-in-law Mary and Joseph Selker; sister and brother-in-law Deloris and Doug Witmore; sister and brother-in-law Rita and Bernie Banner, brother Dennis Bauer, brother Gerard Bauer, brother and sister-in-law Clair and Dorothy Bauer and brother-in-law Steve Dobrich.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, 112 Rectory Lane, PO Box 9, Lucinda, PA 16235.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday July 30, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Church, 112 Rectory Lane, Lucinda, PA. 16235, celebrated by Fr. Cory Pius.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman Ohio.
