Elizabeth "Betty" Boni

Elizabeth “Betty” Boni 100 passed away November 26, 2025, with her family at her side.

She was born June 26, 1925, in Hubbard, the daughter of the late Anthony and Ann Affinito DeLucia.

Betty owned and operated the Ohio Carpet Co., In Boardman for over 50 years and was a long-time member of Tippecanoe Country Club, canfield where she enjoyed numerous outings and dinners with family and lifelong friends.

Betty also wintered in both Arizona and Florida, loved to shop, travel and visit casinos.

Betty was a fantastic cook who enjoyed preparing holiday dinners for her family.

Betty will be sadly missed by her children Phyllis Galey, Diane (Jim) Escaja, Sandra Eldridge, Mark (Diane) Boni, Robert (Christine) Boni and Kathy (Mario) Irvello.

She is also survived by her sister Florence Bair of Arizona as well as her grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by the love of her life  her husband Carl Boni and brother Robert DeLucia .

Private services were held at the Fox Funeral Home in Boardman, with Rev. Charles Rooney, O.P.

Interment was held in Calvary Cemetery.

The Boni family request any material tributes to be given in Betty’s name to St. Dominic Church 77 E. Lucius Ave. Youngstown, OH. 44407

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
