Gerald " Jerry" S. Guerriero

Gerald (Jerry) S. Guerriero Sr., 67, left here to be with the Lord at 10:16pm, Thursday, April 10, 2025. He was surrounded by family in his home in Boardman, OH.

Jerry was born April 7, 1958, in Youngstown, Ohio to Joseph and Ida Guerriero. He was a graduate of Boardman High School class of 1976. Gerald worked on the Pittsburgh & Lake Erie (P&LE) Railroad and retired from Youngstown City Schools where he served for 30 years in various roles such as Utility Fireman and Head Custodian.

Jerry enjoyed spending time with his family in addition to socializing with his close friends within the neighborhood. He appreciated the company of the family dog, Whiskey, who never left his side. Lastly, Jerry had a passion for motorcycles, taking care of his home, and treating himself to a nice steak dinner on the weekends. He deeply loved his two boys, Jerry Jr. and Michael who continually state “they don’t make ‘em like this no more” when referring to their beloved dad.

He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving is his brother, Joseph Guerriero, Jr., husband of Becke Guerriero (Columbiana, Ohio) and his two sons, Gerald Guerriero, Jr., husband of Jennifer Guerriero (Austintown, Ohio) and Michael Guerriero (Boardman, Ohio).

Calling hours will be held at Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman, on Monday, April 14 from 5:00-7:00pm and Tuesday, April 15 from 10:00-11:00am with a funeral service at 11:00am, followed by burial at Lake Park Cemetery.
