Ida Theresa Michael

Ida Theresa Michael passed peacefully on Friday September 6, 2024, at her residence.

She was born January 1, 1929, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Peter and Marie Khoury Michael,

and was a lifelong area resident.

Ida graduated from South High School in 1946, and still had her yearbook.

She enjoyed her job for 24 years at The United Steel Workers of America as a telephone operator, until her retirement in 1984.

Ida belonged to a bridge club and several other card clubs. She loved dancing and other fun functions.

She was a longstanding member of St. Maron Maronite Church and helped during the elections as a poll worker for over 20 years.

Ida leaves to cherish her memory her nieces, Karen Snyder, Barbara Jo Young, Cheryl Michael, Pat Greenwood and nephew Ronald Snyder. She also leaves several great nieces and great nephews plus many dear friends.

Ida was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Julia Kovach, Mable Lubic, Margaret Snyder, Fred Michael and Minnie Michael.

And her longtime companion Frank Viola of Grove City PA., who passed away July of 2007.

Family and friends may call on Tuesday September 10, 2024, from 12 noon to 12:50 p.m. at St. Maron Maronite a Church 1555 S. Meridian Rd. Youngstown, followed by a Divine Liturgy at 1:00 p.m. with Father Tony Massad as celebrant.

Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that material tributes be made to St. Maron Maronite Church, 1555 S. Meridian Rd. Youngstown, Ohio 44511.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
