James J. Liana

James J. Liana, passed away quietly in his sleep on December 4, 2025, at age 66.

James was born July 1, 1959, to John J. Liana and Jean E. Liana (O’Donnell) He was a graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School class of 1977 and earned a baccalaureate in Computer Science in Texas.

James was a quiet man of few words, except when talking about football, his love of golf, or his passion for computers, which he used for most of his life while working for the Progressive Company’s main regional office in Cleveland, Ohio. He was a systems operator and trouble shooter, as well as a manager for their emergency “bunker” operations.

James was preceded in death by his father and mother and is survived by his brother John and his fiancée Dee Miller. There are no services scheduled at this time.
