Jane A. (Metzinger) LaTessa

Jane A. LaTessa, 92 passed away peacefully at her home, with her loving family by her side Tuesday morning August 20, 2024.  She was born August 16, 1932, in Youngstown, a daughter of Steve and Blanche Berringer Metzinger. 

Jane attended St. Dominic school and graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School.  Jane was a founding member of St. Luke Church and was active in the Altar Rosary Society. One of her many enjoyments in life was spending time with her family.  Her husband Fred, whom she married September 10, 1955, passed away April 27, 2015. 

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter Mary (Rob) Marshall, son Donald (Lisa) LaTessa, grandchildren Adam Sanders, Lisha Sanders, Hunter Sanders and Kristin LaTessa, great grandchildren Savanna, Dylan and Dustin, and sister-in-law Nora LaTessa.

 Jane is preceded in death by her brother Ray Metzinger and sisters Anne Metzinger, Marjorie Hughes, and twin sister Jean Coyne. 

Family and friends may call from 10 to 10:50 am., Saturday August 24, 2024, at St. Luke Church, where a Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11am.  

She will be laid to rest next to her husband at Calvary Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff of Hospice of The Valley, and especially Brea for the wonderful care shown towards Jane.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
