Jerilyn M. Moore (Yank), passed at her home on June 21, 2024, in Bethesda, MD. She was born October 8, 1943, in Youngstown, Ohio, where she grew up and graduated from Ursuline High School, Class of 1961. Jerilyn earned her Paralegal Certificate from Georgetown University in Washington, DC, where she worked for many years as a Paralegal Specialist. Jeri took care of her mother, who she dearly cherished, until her passing. Jerilyn enjoyed politics, humor, crossword puzzles, trips to New York City, and her many family members.
Jerilyn is survived by her son, John Todd Moore and his wife, Towal, of Woodbridge, VA. She is also survived by many cousins, including Peter Hacker (Mary Jane) of Mesa, AZ, as well as Gary Campbell (Barbara) of Phoenix, AZ, Additionally, Jerilyn is survived by her long-time best friend, Elaine Ryan of Canfield, OH.
Jerilyn was preceded in death by her mother, Harriet Yank, her father, John Yank, her aunts Margaret Hacker, Winnie Harper, Kathleen Fitzpatrick, and uncles James Campbell and Ralph Campbell.
Jerilyn’s remains will be laid with her mother’s at Calvery Cemetery in Youngstown, Ohio at 1:00 pm on July 11. A celebration of her life will be held in her memory at that time. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association.
