Jo-Ann M. Stefanski 83, passed away peacefully with her loving family by her side. She was born April 2, 1941, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Frank J. and Mary S. Bedenik Cannistra. After graduating from South High School in 1959, she received an associate degree from Youngstown State University. Jo-Ann was the secretary for Commisso Paving and Commcorp Construction. She was a member of Christ Our Savior Parish, St. Nicholas Church and enjoyed bocce at the St. Anthony Church. Her husband James “Clay” Stefanski, whom she married April 25, 1964, passed away February 4, 1995.
She leaves to cherish her memory, daughters Marlene Stefanski of Struthers and Lora (Brian) Fabian of Marine City, Michigan, son James F (Lena). Stefanski of Struthers, brother Bob (Elaine) Cannistra, sister Fran Pushay and grandchildren Ashley Field, James, Jana and Isabel Stefanski.
Family and friends may call from 10 to 11:50 Monday June 17, 2024, at the Fox Funeral Home,4700 Market St. Boardman, followed by a funeral service at 12 noon officiated by Rev Philip E. Rogers.
Interment will be in Green Haven Memorial Cemetery.
