Josephine Klein died Wednesday May 27, 2026, after a short illness.
Josephine was born May 28, 1940, in Ranchos de Taos, New Mexico, the daughter of Max and Josephine Romero Archuleta.
She married her husband, Steve, in 1968.
Josie cherished her family and traveled often to Colorado to visit, treasured her frequent phone calls, and shared greeting cards.
She enjoyed homemaking and she loved to cook for family. Her hobbies were arts and crafts, and she was an inspired porcelain doll maker, and she loved to cross stitch. She loved to spend time with friends, especially her nieces, Gloria Firment and Bea Prentice, who relocated to the area from Colorado with her.
She leaves her children to cherish her memory, Roy (Beth) Ortiz, Carol Gillen, Bobbi Jo Gillen, Ron (Karen) Gillen and Mark (Mary Lynn) Klein; her grandchildren, Hayley (Allison) Kosmatka, Kori Ortiz, James Kosmatka, Allison Sparrow, Shelby Gillen, Robert Sparrow, Noah and Lily Klein; step-grandchildren, Jason, Sam and Shelby. She was devoted to her great-grandchildren, Brian, Megan, Sydney, Madeleine, Layten, William, Bradley, Archer, Kaydence and Rhylinn. She also leaves a sister, Della Padilla and brothers, Richard and Thomas Archuleta of Colorado, and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her grandson, Josh (Kristi) Ortiz; sisters, Vera Padilla, Flora Martinez, Lucy Martinez, Julie Escobido; and brothers, Manuel Archuleta, Daniel Archuleta and Joseph Archuleta; and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call from 3 to 5 p.m., followed by a service, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Boardman.
The Family has requested any material tributes to be given to the St. Vincent DePaul Society 208 W. Front St., Youngstown.
