June A. Cimmento, 100 passed away peacefully Tuesday morning Oct 28, after a long full life. She was born February 1, 1925, in Youngstown, a daughter of Clarence and Rose Lillian Chaney Potts.
June was a South High School graduate and lived a full and active life, raising a large family, working at Ohev Zedak Temple and later in her years was the office manager at her daughter’s business
Gina Cimmento Dance Studio. She was a talented seamstress and tailor; she created beautiful dresses and even made her daughter’s wedding dresses. Her baking skills were unmatched, especially her pies. Every Christmas she gifted her children with her famous filled cookies.
She married Louis Cimmento, Sr,on January 29, 1942, before he went into the Navy, a true love affair that lasted 42 years until his passing in 1983.
June leaves to cherish her memory, her children Richard (Patricia) Cimmento, Thomas (Sandra) Cimmento, Mary Lou Clatterbuck, Louis Cimmento, Jr., Dino Cimmento and Gina Reesey., fifteen grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and three great great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her sisters Edith Moyer, Florence Reble, Margaret Ann Smith, Dolly Blattman, Lillian Sullivan, Betty Arkwright and Carol Ann Potts, brothers Clarence Potts and Alonzo Potts, her beloved cats Ezzie and Joey.
Private Funeral services were held Friday afternoon October 31, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home. She was laid to rest next to husband at Greenhaven Memorial Gardens.
Special thanks to all the staff at the Inn at Glenellen, where compassion, warmth and dedication will be forever appreciated. She was a happy member of their community for thirteen years.
