June louise (Borak) Miller

June Louise Borak Miller of Canfield Ohio passed away on Wednesday December 17, 2025

Mrs. Miller was born in Youngstown, Ohio to George and Virginia (McCarrius) Borak.  A 1950 graduate of Rayen High School, she began her career at Hood Electric while attending Youngstown College for secretarial studies.

She married William Joseph Miller in 1953 and together they owned and operated Miller’s Casual Living for over 42 years.

Mrs. Miller was an active community volunteer.  She was one of the “Wednesday Ladies” at St. Elizabeth Hospital Medical Center for 38 years.  She was also a member at St. Brendan’s Church for 60+ years, serving on several committees including the Altar and Rosary Society.

She was preceded in death in May by her husband William, her parents, her sisters Jean Borak and Geraldine Murtha, and her brother James Borak. 

She is survived by her children Nancy (Landon) Colquitt, Susan (Stuart) Smith, Kelly (Brian) Meenachan, and William K. Miller, eight grandchildren: Elizabeth, Schuyler, Brennan, Brooke, Ryan, Mackenzie, Courtney and Maranda and seven great grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Virginia (Babe) Burwig, sister-in-law Emmalyn Borak and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no calling hours.  A memorial mass will be celebrated on Monday, January 5th at 11 a.m.  at St. Brendan Parish 2800 Oakwood Ave. Youngstown, Ohio 44509.  In lieu of flowers, please consider memorial donations to Ursuline Sisters Mission Attn: Beatitude House 4280 Shields Rd.  Canfield Ohio 44406  or Southern Care Hospice 970 Windham Ct.  Suite 9 Boardman Ohio 44512.
