In Loving Memory of Kurt Vincent McCrone
Kurt Vincent McCrone, born November 13, 1962, passed away on May 29th, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, resilience, and unwavering support for others.
Preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Judy (McCreary) McCrone.
Kurt’s spirit lives on through his family and friends.
He is survived by his sisters Christine O’Neal, Kimberly (Scott) Wickert, Judiann
(Jim) Romeo and brother Chuck McCrone; his nephews and nieces Chad (Cristin) McCrone, Jill (George) Hoffman, Jascelynn (Ricky) Baird, Jake Wickert, Delaney Wickert, and Jack Romeo; and his great-niece Caitlyn Adams, and great nephews Jessen Hoffman, and Henry Baird.
Kurt had a deep love for his boxers—Tiger, Dewey, Truman, and Lincoln—and
cherished his days spent on his boat at Lake Berlin. He earned his pilot’s wings with his
first solo flight on November 4th, 2010, a testament to his adventurous spirit. Kurt also had
a sense of humor that helped him and others navigate life.
A remarkable milestone in Kurt’s life was his 24 years of sobriety, celebrated on May 7th, 2025. Throughout his journey, he sponsored hundreds of individuals, guiding them toward recovery with compassion and dedication. Even as he battled cancer, Kurt’s thoughts remained with others, embodying the selflessness that defined his character.
Kurt lived his life with an entrepreneurial spirit and started Novelties Unlimited in the
seventh grade with his friend. Kurt worked with his parents for his family’s business, McCrone’s Furniture and Appliances, for over two decades.
He owned Western Reserve Carriage Company in the 80’s, and most recently owned and operated HTS Integration for over 20 years.
Kurt’s life was a testament to the power of community, love, and the enduring impact of
one individual’s kindness. He will be deeply missed but never forgotten. To honor Kurt’s memory, contributions may made to the American Cancer Society.
A celebration of Kurt’s life will be held on Tuesday June 3rd at Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St., Youngstown, OH 44512. Friends may call from 10 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. with the service starting at 12:00 p.m.
