Laura E. Brothers Yozwick passed away peacefully on Thursday October 23, 2025, at her residence with her son Aaron at her side.
She was born on March 20, 1934, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Jay C. and Jessie F. Gotchall Brothers, she was one of eight children and was a lifelong area resident.
Laura graduated from Boardman High School, she enjoyed singing and dancing, she sang in the St. James Church Choir for many years.
Laura and her sisters danced seven nights a week to a live band, and Friday nights at the Idora Park Ballroom.
She married the love of her life Dr. Chester Yozwick in the summer of 1964.
Together they loved to go snow skiing and boating with family and friends.
Laura was employed for many years at Ohio Edison prior to the birth of her son Aaron in 1976.
After raising her son, she would go on to work with her husband helping manage his private practice and international correspondence college, The American Institute of Holistic Theology. They would both retire in 2000.
Laura leaves to cherish her memory, her son Aaron J. Yozwick and several nieces and nephews and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Chester Yozwick who passed away on March 7, 2004.
And her siblings Ruth Crawford, Mary Jane Jardine, Esther Canada, Sabra Hindson, Irma A. Schilling, and Clark and David Brothers.
Family and friends may call from 10 to 10:50 a.m. on Saturday November 1, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m.
Burial will take place at Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery.
Lauras family has requested any material contributions can be made to the charity of the donor’s choice in Laura’s name.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
