Mary E. Higham passed away peacefully on Saturday November 29, 2025, at the Inn at Old Saybrook.
She was born on February 19, 1926, in Youngstown, the daughter of the late Benjamin and Mollie Restle Higham, and was a lifelong area resident.
She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School class of 1944.
Mary worked for 35 years in the pricing department at Youngstown Sheet & Tube and retired in 1981.
She then stated working at South Side Medical Center in the records department for another nine years.
Mary was a longtime member of St. Dominic Church; she belonged to the Alter Rosary Society and the Infant Jesus of Prague.
She leaves to cherish the memory of her many nieces and nephews and great nieces and great nephews.
Besides her parents Mary was preceded in death by her siblings, Benjamin C., Carl B., William J. Robert O., John S. and Richard T. Higham, plus her sister Virginia M. LaMar.
Family and friends may call from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. at the Fox Funeral Home 4700 Market St. Boardman, on Thursday December 4, 2025, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucuis Ave. Youngstown, celebrated by Rev. Charles Rooney, O.P.
Mary’s interment will be at Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
