Mary Carol Scheetz, 82, passed away peacefully Saturday evening February 15, 2025, with her loving family by her side. She was born on December 9, 1942, in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Ken and Dorothy Finnerty Franklin. Mary Carol was a 1960 graduate of Cardinal Mooney High School and worked at the catalog department at J.C. Penney at the Southern Park Mall. She was a lifelong member of St. Dominic Church where she attended mass every day. Mary Carol enjoyed traveling, going to Lake Milton on the weekends and spending her summers at Geneva on the Lake with her large extended family. Her husband Howard L. Scheetz, whom she married May 29, 1965, passed away February 8, 2017. She leaves to cherish her memory her son Ken Scheetz, daughter Kathleen (Keith) Masterson, sisters Dotty Cerimele and Sr. Joan Franklin O.P and Rita (Mike) Blasko, brother Ken (Terry) Franklin and granddaughter Grace Masterson. Family and friends can call from 4 to 7p.m. Wednesday February 19, 2025, at the Fox Funeral Home 4700 Market St. Boardman.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 A.M. Thursday February 20, 2025, at St. Dominic Church.
Mary Carol will be laid to rest next to her husband at Calvary Cemetery
