Michael D. Hosa

 Michael D. Hosa, 64, passed away peacefully Friday morning April 18, 2025. 

Michael was born April 14, 1961, in Youngstown, son of Robert and Mary Elizabeth Scheetz Hosa, and was a lifelong area resident.  After graduating from Cardinal Mooney in 1979, he took some courses at Youngstown State University. 

He was a supervisor for Vinylume Products Window Design Department and was a member of St. Dominic Church. 

Michael was a fan of Punxsutawney Phil and watching Cleveland Browns football on TV.  In his spare time, he enjoyed camping in the mountains, and hanging out at Chippers on Mahoning Ave.  He was a wonderful caretaker for his elderly parents until their passing.

 Michael leaves to cherish his memory, his sister Carol (Dan) Cibock, niece Janelle (Paul) Bartholomy, nephew Benjamin Cibock, great nephew Aiden Bartholomy, many cousins, former spouse Chris Verostko and his dogs. 

Along with his parents, Michael is preceded in death by his sister Janet Hosa. 

Family and  friends may call from 9:30 to 10:20 Thursday April 24, 2025, at St. Dominic Church, 77 E. Lucius Ave. Youngstown, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30. 

He will be laid to rest with his family at Calvary Cemetery.
