On Saturday, January 6th 2024, the love and heartbeat of our lives, only son and brother, Michael Jason Cusick was taken home to be with our lord, late in the afternoon. Michael leaves behind his mother, Valerie Gallo and sister, Angel Cusick. His beloved dog, Hanky and three cats, Floppy Joe, Mau, and Steven. He was grandson to the late Frank and Alice Gallo, William Cusick and Francis Rankin.
Michael had the innate ability to envision and create in his own artistic mind and brought to life outstanding quality workmanship in designing and building many homes throughout our community. As is well known through his clients and work associates. What brought him great pleasure, in his youth was playing baseball for mill creek from 1995-2005, fishing alone and at times with friends everywhere in between lake Milton, Geneva, ice fishing in New York, playing his guitars, collecting RC cars and diecast model cars, building and refinishing cars, going to concerts and listening to a variety of great music, collecting antique car models and more than anything creating joy for his clients through his craftsmanship, where he would bring his art to life and take great pride in it. He is a 2008 graduate of MCCTC which he attended for auto mechanics. Mikes leadership abilities were immediately recognized by his teacher and made him top of his class, often trusting him to lead the class while teachers were busy. His abilities and quality work were recognized from high school even to the craftsmen in the industry today. Michael’s imprint on the industry and lives of this community will forever be lovingly remembered. He always attributed his good work ethic to his grandfather’s strict regimen.
Since he was five years old, Michael was very active at New Life Church in Poland, participating in as many camps as he could. He enjoyed his time with the Royal Rangers program where he learned and studied God’s word, bible verses with friends, and competitions. He took all that he learned at the assembly and applied it through his life. He loved the lord and always had him in his life to guide him, even in difficult decisions.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Friday, January 19, 2024, at Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. in Boardman
