Michael D. Petrello, 73, passed away peacefully Wednesday morning June 12, 2024. He was born February 1, 1951, in Youngstown, a son of the late Carl and Gladys Ingram Petrello. After attending Chaney High School, Michael went to work at General Motors Lordstown Plant, where he was a union representative for Local 1112, before retiring in 2000. In retirement, Michael enjoyed working at Panera Bread on Mahoning Ave., hunting, gardening, cheering on the Pittsburgh Steelers, spending time with his family, and spoiling his dog, Kitty. Michael was a member of St. Christine Church. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Carole L. Nuth, whom he married September 2, 2000, children Annette (Jason) Hinrichs, Dr. Rachel Clark (Shaun Jarrett), Sean (Victoria) Clark, Michael (Kimberly) Petrello and Justin (Tiffany) Petrello., sister Ruth (Ken) Fedders, brother Carl (Pat) Petrello, grandchildren, Paige, Destiny, Breanna, Mia, Daniel, Samara, David, Lana, Derrick, Shaun, Jr., Olivia, Vaughn, Arabella, Connor and Lacey, and great grandchildren Marina and Daniela.
He is preceded in death by his son John Petrello.
Family and friends may call from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman. Prayers will be 10:30a.m. Thursday, June 20, 2024, at the Fox Funeral Home, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Rev. John Jerek at 11:00 a.m., at St. Christine Church 3165 S. Schenley Ave. Youngstown.
