Richard Allen Musser, 92, passed away peacefully on Tuesday morning August 20, 2024. He was born July 8, 1932, in Youngstown, a son of William and Olive Morrison Musser. After graduating from South High School in 1952, Richard enlisted in the Marine Corp. and served his country with distinction during the Korean War. Upon being discharged in 1955, Richard went to work for Wean United as a machinist, retiring in 1994. Richard was a kind and generous man and lived his life with an open hand. He enjoyed cooking for anyone who came over and spending time with his family. His first wife Regina Halleck, passed away in 1975, his second wife Joyce Patasce passed away in 2014. He leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Regina Thornton, Cynthia (Tom) England, Jacqueline (Don) Black, Richard Musser II, Stephen (Melissa) Musser, Gregory (Shannon) Musser and Jodi Sabo, ten grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren and three great- great-grandchildren.
Richard is preceded in death by multiple brothers and sisters.
family and friends may call from 12 to 1:50 pm. Saturday August 24, 2024, at the Fox Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman, followed by a funeral service at 2 P.M., officiated by Pastor Mark Cuprik. He will be laid to rest at Forest Lawn Memorial Park with military honors.
