Robert " Bob" L. Mahaffey

Robert (Bob) L. Mahaffey, 88 passed away peacefully Saturday Morning April 5, 2025. 

Bob was born on January 19, 1937, in Youngstown, a son of the late Robert W. and Wilma Decker Mahaffey. 

After graduating from North High School in 1955, where he won many medals for track and high hurdles.  Bob enlisted in the Navy serving aboard the aircraft carrier USS Hornet.  Bob spent his whole working career at General Motors Lordstown assembly plant.

He was a member of the U.A.W. Local #1112 and enjoyed golfing and traveling. 

Bob leaves to cherish his memory, his wife the former Sandra Lisko Liberto, whom he married May 19, 1984, sons Robert J. (Colleen) Mahaffey of Youngstown, Mark A. (April) Mahaffey of Hubbard and Brian A. (Charlene) Mahaffey of Chester West Virginia, grandchildren Brian W. Mahaffey and Philip (Nicole) Liberto and two great grandchildren Baylor and Brynlee Liberto.

He is preceded in death by his sisters Judy Jakubek, Donna McDaniel and Carol Goad. 

There are no calling hours or funeral services. He will be laid to rest at Belmont Park Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
