Scott A. Thomas

Scott A. Thomas passed peacefully at his home on Tuesday June 12, 2024, with family at his side, one day after his 60th birthday.

He was born on June 11, 1964, in Akron, the son of Donald E and Wilma P. Porter Thomas.  He graduated from the Roosevelt High School class of 1982.

Soon after he started working for Giant Eagle, he worked 30 plus years for them until his health caused him to step down.

Scott was very involved in the Native American culture and enjoyed Spirt Dancing, Powel Wow. He was an enormous Pittsburgh Steelers fan.

He leaves his children, son Anthony Scott Thomas and daughter Brooke Marie Thomas, five grandchildren.

His mother Wilma P. Porter Tamburino and her fiancé Jerold Fourman of Florida, sister Lyn Kaczynski (Lori Humphrey) of Warren and brother -in-law and caregiver Larry Kaczynski of Youngstown.

Sister Julie M. Wilkerson of Kent.

Scott was preceded in death by his father Donald E. Thomas, sister Debbie J. Schiele and brother Jeffrey Lynn Thomas.

He was also preceded in death by his stepfather’s Richard Hammerly and Ron Tamburino.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Edward J. Fox & Sons Funeral Home, 4700 Market St. Boardman.
