Timothy John McCarty, 70 passed away peacefully December 7, after a courageous fight at the Cleveland Clinic. Timothy was born October 28, 1949 in Youngstown a son of John and Martha Stanton McCarty.
He was a 1967 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School, and was the editor of the yearbook. After high school, Tim studied art history at Ohio State and Youngstown State Universities. His love of fashion, led him to a lifelong career in men’s fashion. He was the manager of Margie’s Golden Needle in Boardman, retired from Jos. A. Bank at the Southern Park Mall in 2011. Tim loved cars, jazz music, reading history, and was the happiest spending time with his family. He proudly served is country in the Navy.
Tim leaves to cherish his memory his wife the former Diane L. Vrancic, whom he married January 22, 1983, the light of his life, his daughter Lucy Georgina McCarty, grandchildren Phaeton Louise and Emma Hope, sister-in-laws Lora McCarty and Maureen McCarty, brother-in-laws David (Lynda) Vrancic, Dean (Tammy) Vrancic and Dale Vrancic and several nieces, nephews and cousins..
Besides his parents, Tim is preceded in death by his brothers Christopher John McCarty and Gregory John McCarty.
A celebration of Tim’s life will be officiated by Rev. Cornell Jordan at 4 P.M. Thursday at the Fox Funeral Home.
Friends may call prior to the services from 2 to 4 P.M. Thursday at the funeral Home.
