William Joseph Miller of Canfield Ohio passed away on May 16, 2025, on his 72nd wedding anniversary.
Mr. Miller was born in Dubois, Pennsylvania, the son of George and Margaret (Keenan) Miller. The family moved to Youngstown when he was four years old.
He attended Ursuline and Rayen High Schools and Youngstown College.
He married June Louise Borak in 1953 and together they owned and operated Miller’s Casual Living for over 42 years.
He served in the United States Army from 1952 -1954 where he was stationed in Germany and France.
Mr. Miller was a member of St. Brendan Church for over 60 years. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus, serving as treasurer.
Surviving is his wife, his children, Nancy (Landon) Colquitt, Susan (Stuart) Smith, Kelly (Brian) Meenachan, and William K. Miller.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Elizabeth, Schuyler, Brennan, Brooke, Ryan, Mackenzie, Courtney, and Maranda and 7 great grandchildren. He also leaves his sisters-in-law Virginia ”Babe” Burwig and Emmalyn Borak and his cousin Jim Callaghan, plus many nieces and nephews.
Mr. Miller was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers Bob, Bundy, and Dutch.
There will be no calling hours. A memorial mass will be celebrated on May 28th (his 93rd birthday) at St. Brendan Church at 9:00 a.m.
