William " Bill" Jenkins, Jr. Obituary

William H. Jenkins, Jr., passed peacefully Monday June 10, 2024, at the Hospice House in Poland surrounded by his loving family.

Bill was born on September 12, 1936, in Youngstown, the son of the late William H. and Helen Estelle Pautot Jenkins, Sr., he was a lifelong area resident.

He graduated from the South High School, Class of 1954. Bill enlisted in the United States Army in October 1956 and served his country in Korea until 1958. Upon his return home he entered trade school and graduated as a plumber / pipefitter.

During this time, he married his high school sweetheart and first love of his life. Diane H. Moran, in 1960 and together they created a wonderful life. Blessed with three sons, each a year apart in age, their home was filled with love and laughter, family dinners and cousins. Diane passed away in 1993 and Bill met and fell in love with Judy Daloise, the next love of his life. Together they built a beautiful marriage that spanned nearly thirty years. With their combined family of five sons, they enjoyed all the blessings that life gave them including grandchildren, a home in Florida and many trips across the country.

In addition to being an amazing husband and father, Bill was a skilled tradesman and was known for his ability to fix almost anything. After working in the trades for several years, he joined the General Motors Lordstown team where he worked as a pipefitter from June of 1973 until his retirement in 1999. He also enjoyed bowling, golfing, Notre Dame, the Browns and the Indians, but his true passion above all else was his family.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Judith A. Caruso Daloise, whom he married April 22, 1995; his sons William H. (Maureen) Jenkins III of Dublin, Michael M. (Molly) Jenkins of Westerville, Richard M. (Crissi) Jenkins of Canfield, Frank Daloise of Youngstown and Jeffrey (Kathryn) Daloise of Canfield. His grandchildren Richard Jenkins (fiancée Dr. Sarah Foley) of Cleveland, Kate Jenkins (fiancé Ethan Byrd) of Columbus; Joseph and Ryan Jenkins of Columbus and Rachel Daloise of Canfield.
