William " Billy" Frease Obituary

William John Frease (Billy) passed away peacefully Friday, September 27, 2024, at the age of 74, surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 20, 1950, in Youngstown, Ohio, to the late Erwin and Shirley Frease.

Billy attended Poland Seminary High School, graduating in 1968.  While in high school, he enjoyed mechanical drawing and was nominated Prom King.

As a child, Billy went to Lady Evelyn Lake in Canada fishing every year with his grandfather and father. A tradition he continued with family and friends.

After high school, Billy pursued his love of riding and rebuilding motorcycles.  He founded Frease Custom Cycle and toured the country on some of his favorite bikes.  He additionally founded Frease Dart Supply and developed a dart stand that is still used in tournaments today.

Billy proudly served the Mahoning County Sheriff’s Department for over 20 years. During his law enforcement career, he served as a Sergeant and was elected Fraternal Order of Police President.  He was always proud of the lifelong friendships he made during his career.

Upon retirement, Billy created Frease Motorcycle Restoration, restoring vintage Triumph and Honda Motorcycles.  His proudest restoration, a 1957 TR6 Triumph motorcycle was displayed at the National Packard Museum.

Billy can always be remembered for his love of great music, playing into the early morning hours on his McIntosh stereo.

Billy will forever be remembered by his children, William (Carrie) Frease, Callie (Jason) Roberts, Daniel Dombroski, Quinn (Brent) Cross; 8 grandchildren; siblings, Ginny Kashmiry, Donna Blisard, Debbie (Mark) Ogden and his lifelong friend who was more like a brother, Joe Uscianowski.

He was preceded in death by Nancy Frease in 2019 and his brother-in-law Don Blisard.
