Patricia L. (Grimaldi) Prebish

There will be a funeral service Liturgy celebrated by Fr. Michael Farynets, at 11 a.m. on Friday Aug. 17, 2018, at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church for Patricia L. Prebish, 81, who passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Tuesday, Aug. 14, 2018.

Patricia was born March 3, 1937 in Youngstown, the daughter of Joseph and Anna Schrader Grimaldi, she was a lifelong area resident.

Patricia graduated from Campbell Memorial High School class of 1955. She was an assistant buyer for Strouss Department Store and worked in Market Research for over 20 years. She, along with her family, were members of St. Mary’s Byzantine. She was a member of the ladies of charity at the church.

Patricia enjoyed cooking and gambling, was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan, and she loved Elvis Presley.

Her grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved every minute she spent with them and they will miss her dearly.

Patricia married her husband, Stephan Prebish Jr. on Jan. 27, 1968, at St. Nicholas Byzantine Church, and he passed away June 19, 1998.

She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughter, Debbie (Brian) Cooper of Salem; and her son, Michael Prebish (Ginger O’Toole) of New York City. She also leaves her sister, Rosemarie Grimaldi of Canfield; and her grandchildren, Trevor and Hunter Cooper.

Besides her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Carol Prebish; and brother Jack Schrader; and sister, Nancy Dominic.

Family and friends may call from 10 to 11a.m. at St. Nicholas Byzantine Catholic Church 1898 Wilson Ave. Youngstown, Oh. 44506.

Interment will take place at St. Nicholas Byzantine Cemetery.

The family would like to thank the staff at Victoria House in Austintown, for taking such good care of their  mother over the past 8 years and to Patti Hunt for her love, help and support during that time.
