Sandra Lee Creatore, 77, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, February 27, 2024, at her residence in Campbel, surrounded by her family.
Sandy was born May 2, 1946, in Youngstown, daughter of Matthew J. and Agnes Slavik McCabe. She was a lifelong area resident.
Sandy graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School, class of 1965. Soon after she married the love of her life, Gerald R. Creatore on November 26, 1966, at St. Dominic Church.
Sandy and her family were members at St. Elizabeth and St. Lucy Church.
She was a housewife who raised her three girls and then went to work in retail at Woolworths, Kmart and then Kohls where is worked in the shoe department until her retirement in 2012.
Sandy enjoyed crocheting and going to cassinos with her husband. She frequently visited her cousin and best friend Maryjane Olenick in Cincinnati until she sadly passed away.
She went not once but three times on the trip of a lifetime to her favorite place Hawaii, she even has a Hawaii room in her home.
Sandy leaves to cherish her memory, her loving husband, Gerald, with whom she has been married for 57 years; three daughters, Lisa M. (Stephen) Balas, Julie A. McClellan, and Katie E. Creatore, all of Campbell; Grandchildren Jordyn (David), Stephen, J.P., Daniel, Colin, and Aubrie. She also has three great grandchildren, Colton, Jackson, and Adilynn. Sandy also leaves her brother Matthew McCabe of Youngstown.
Besides her parents Sandy was preceded in death by her sister Donna J. Galluppi, her brother -in-law William Galluppi and sister-in-law Jennifer McCabe.
Family and friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday February 29, 2024, at the Fox Funeral Home 4700 Market St. Boardman. Calling also from 11:00 a.m. to 12:20 p.m. at St. Patricks Church 375 N. Main St. Hubbard 44425.
Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 12:30 p.m. at the Church celebrated by Rev. Michael A. Swierz. Interment will be at St. John the Baptist Cemetery.
Sandy’s family would like to thank Ohio Living Hospice for the wonderful care given to their loved one, especially grateful to her nurse Francine and aid Lorri and Pastor Dan for his love and support.
